Customer Background:
In July, we received an inquiry from Nigib in the Cayman Islands. Nigib, the owner of a tile company, wanted to customize a cargo elevator for lifting goods. In his first email, he detailed the specifications required for the cargo elevator:
-Platform dimensions: Approximately 1.5*1.5 meters
-Load capacity: 2 tons
-Lifting height: 6 meters, 2 floors
Customer Concerns:
Based on the parameters provided by Nigib, the XYZLIFT team responded promptly and provided him with a detailed quotation. Nigib appreciated the timely response and quotation from the XYZLIFT team but raised a question. He wanted to know if we could manufacture the cargo elevator for 230V, 60Hz to suit the local voltage. Addressing this concern, we informed him that 230V, 60Hz was feasible, and we could customize the motor and distribution box according to his local voltage.
After resolving this issue, Nigib informed us that he needed two cargo elevators, with one to be installed outdoors. He inquired if our cargo elevators were suitable for outdoor installation and whether it was necessary to add protective mesh. Based on our experience, we confirmed that outdoor installation is perfectly viable and recommended adding protective mesh. Nigib appreciated the professional advice we provided.
What XYZLIFT Did:
Nigib provided dimensional drawings for the two installation sites. XYZLIFT, based on the detailed floor dimensions, provided cargo elevator drawings for review by Nigib’s team of engineers. During this process, Nigib asked if the cargo elevators could be galvanized, as they were to be installed on a small island where the high salt mist and humidity could cause steel to rust. Galvanization forms a dense protective layer, extending the equipment’s service life. We were pleased to meet Nigib’s requirement for galvanization and sent him photos from our previous galvanization projects for his review.
Additionally, XYZLIFT recommended adding landing doors at each entrance for the cargo elevator without protective mesh. This safety feature ensures that if the platform is not at the designated floor, the landing door cannot be opened, preventing falls when the door is open. Nigib affirmed and accepted the suggestions we provided. Through communication with Nigib, we learned that the installation sites for the two cargo elevators were already completed, and another project was still under construction. For this project, they also needed to prepare a cargo elevator. Nigib plans to purchase a total of three cargo elevators from XYZLIFT for different projects.
