Customer Background:
Andrew is from a company in Australia that specializes in manufacturing flags. In March, we received an inquiry from him. He was looking for a small goods lift to transport fabric and goods within the sewing area. The customer’s initial requirements were:
-Platform: 1400*1400mm
-Lift Height: 3000mm
-Capacity: 1000kg
-With protective mesh
-Mezzanine installation
Our Actions:
After receiving the inquiry, the XYZLIFT team responded promptly and provided Andrew with a quotation. Andrew then requested an additional quote for a lift with a 500kg capacity and a 1200*1200mm platform for comparison. For small goods lift with platforms smaller than 1500*1500mm, we typically offer a two-post goods lift.
After providing the two quotes for the goods lifts, Andrew felt they did not require such a large lift. He inquired if we had any smaller equipment, such as a dumbwaiter. He also informed us that they soon had a container shipping to Australia with approximately 5 cubic meters of remaining space. We were pleased to inform him that we also manufacture dumbwaiters, which could meet his need for a smaller lifting equipment. Furthermore, the packaging volume for our standard 2-stop dumbwaiter is typically less than 5 cubic meters, making it a perfect fit for the remaining space in the container.
Customer Requests & XYZ Solution:
Through further communication with Andrew, we confirmed the dumbwaiter parameters:
-Load capacity: 200kg
-1st Floor Height: 3323mm
-2nd Floor Height: 2617mm
-Car size: 700mmW×500mmD×1000mmH
-Door Opening Direction: F1 opening front, F2 opening rear
The dumbwaiter is designed for mezzanine installation, passing through the floor slab, and not within a concrete shaft. As it will be used frequently in the sewing area, Andrew was concerned that without peripheral protection, the exposed components could lead to operator injury or be damaged by external impacts/scratches, affecting normal operation. Therefore, he wanted to add sealed panels around the frame’s periphery. Considering that stainless steel panels would be more expensive, we recommended using embossed panels instead. This option was more cost-effective and still met Andrew’s requirements. Andrew was very satisfied with this proposed solution.
Customer Feedback:
“From goods lifts to the dumbwaiter, the XYZLIFT team provided very professional guidance. They offered detailed quotations and drawings for the different products and sizes. I really appreciate the suggestions from the XYZLIFT team throughout this process. They also created detailed installation materials based on my order, which enabled my team to complete the installation quickly and smoothly. For handling smaller, lighter goods, choosing the dumbwaiter was definitely a better solution!”
