Client Background
As a core market for high-end villas in Southeast Asia, the Philippines has seen a steady rise in demand for customized home lifts. Our client is a professional local elevator company with business coverage across major Philippine cities, including Manila, Davao, Cebu, Batangas, and Iloilo. They own a complete local service network and rich engineering experience.
We first received their inquiry in January 2025, and both parties have maintained close communication ever since. In October 2025, we officially received their request for a 3-story villa lift quotation.
Project Challenges
The elevator was to be installed in a 3-story private villa in Davao, Philippines. The on-site civil shaft had already been completed, but its structural strength was insufficient to support a standard elevator. A steel structure shaft was required to secure the lift, which further reduced the available installation space.
Field measurements confirmed:
- Clear civil shaft size: 1400mm × 1400mm
- After installing the steel structure, usable installation space: only 1300mm × 1300mm
Conventional traction elevators usually use a center or side counterweight design, which requires wider shaft space and easily results in a cramped car.
This project faced the dual challenges of weak shaft structure and extremely limited installation space.
Our Customized Solution
To maximize the car space within such a small shaft, our engineering team adopted a traction backpack structure + narrow counterweight layout. By integrating the traction machine and guide system on one side of the car, we minimized space waste.
Even within the 1300mm × 1300mm limited space, we successfully achieved a 1000mm × 1000mm clear car size — a breakthrough in space efficiency for small-shaft home lifts.

Installation & On-Site Support
We provided complete installation drawings and detailed technical documents to guide the client’s on-site team. Every welding point, fixing bracket, and expansion bolt specification was clearly marked. The client’s team could construct directly according to the drawings, greatly reducing communication costs and installation difficulty.
Thanks to clear guidance and professional support, the entire installation was completed smoothly in only 14 days.
The client later shared photos of the finished project, showing stable performance, quiet operation, and a spacious interior that exceeded expectations.
