In January, we received an inquiry from a customer in Hong Kong. They were sourcing a 8-ton capacity scissor lift with a ball transfer table (omni-directional balls) to easily move heavy loads on the platform. The customer provided reference pictures of their desired product for a government infrastructure project.

Given the extreme 8-ton load requirement, we designed a solution beyond our standard offering:
Heavy-Duty Omni-Directional Balls
Our standard ball units are too small for 8 tons. We sourced and installed larger, heavy-duty omni-directional balls specifically rated for 8 tons, ensuring smooth load movement on the platform.Optimized Motor Sizing
The customer initially specified a 6.3 kW motor. However, our engineering team calculated that given the moderate lifting height, a 5.5 kW motor is sufficient to reliably achieve 4 m/min lifting speed with a safe margin. This optimized solution reduced both equipment cost and energy consumption.

As this was a government project, the customer needed numerous certificates for approval. As a professional lift manufacturer with extensive export experience, we have a complete set of industry-leading certifications – fully meeting the project’s compliance requirements.
- 1:1 Detailed Drawings
The customer required detailed drawings for review and approval. Our technical team quickly provided 1:1 scale design drawings, which passed the customer’s review on the first submission.
Pre-Delivery Testing
To ensure flawless performance on-site, we conducted multiple real-load tests before shipment and recorded all processes for customer verification:
Load Test – Actual 8-ton load test to verify lifting capacity and structural stability.
- Operational Test – Simulated real working conditions to test lifting/lowering and the smooth movement of loads on ball transfers
- Electric/Manual Mode Test – Tested the manual lowering backup function to ensure safe operation even during power outages.
