Kingsley is the owner of a lifting equipment company based in New Zealand. The company primarily sells equipment such as cranes, forklifts and so on. In May, we received an inquiry email from Kingsley, in which he mentioned that he is currently working on a new goods lift project and provided detailed specifications, requesting us to submit a budget price.

-Capacity: 1000kgs max
-Dimensions: standard pallet sizes so should allow 1400 x 1400mm square
-Height of load: 2400mm
-Measurement from floor the ceiling: 4140mm
-Thickness of floor: 200mm
-Measurement between the 1st floor to the ceiling: 3020mm
-The dimensions of the hole between the floors: 740 x 2880mm
Follow-up questions & our responses
Upon receiving the inquiry, the XYZLIFT team responded promptly by providing a detailed quotation and drawings to Kingsley. He has since raised the following questions regarding our proposal:
Q1: If two workers were to install this equipment (excluding any electrical work), approximately how long would it take? Would a crane be required?
A1: The installation would take approximately 4 days for a team of two workers. To clarify, we pre-wire all the electrical connections before dispatch. A detailed installation manual will also be provided with your order.
Regarding equipment, a full-sized crane is not strictly necessary. However, you will need a lifting apparatus (such as a chain hoist or gantry) to lift and position the guide rails vertically during installation.
Q2：There is a rebate at the top where the old temporary floor sat.
We were not intending to fill that rebate in.
It is 45mm wide x 125mm deep.
A2: As you concerns about rebate, it’s not necessary to fill it.
We will provide a bent steel plate at the rebate location.
