Commercial elevator installation in Australia
On March 20, all openings on site were completed, and we started intensive installation work. The schedule was extremely tight, as we only had 30 days to finish the installation.
On March 27, the machine, guide rails, car, and control cabinet were fully installed on site. The first elevator was more than halfway completed and ready for commissioning.
On March 30, the main body installation of the first elevator was completed.
We needed to conduct acceptance tests covering more than 30 safety functions. However, a new problem arose: as this was a newly constructed building, only temporary construction power was available, and no permanent on-site power supply existed, making on-site testing impossible. Furthermore, the site would not have permanent power until after April 10.
On April 5, we resumed work after the holiday. We prioritized the installation of the second elevator and focused on tasks that did not require power, such as shaft setting-out, guide rail installation, and car assembly. This ensured we could seamlessly move into commissioning immediately once power was available.
On April 15, the elevator testing was successfully completed with everything running smoothly.
On April 18, the second elevator was also fully installed. Since our visas were only valid until April 20, we did not have enough time to complete the testing. We will have to return next month for the final work. However, the entire installation of both elevators is finished, and only 3 days are needed to complete all testing during the second trip.
Despite encountering many unexpected issues during the installation of the two commercial elevators in Australia, the project progressed smoothly and we successfully completed the main installation.
Originally planned to be finished in 30 working days, the project was affected by delays in shaft hole preparation and power outages. Through flexible adjustments, tight scheduling, and optimized processes, we completed the main installation in just 26 effective working days—ahead of the original schedule.
Although the whole process was full of challenges, we responded flexibly to site conditions and ensured quality and progress throughout. We believe that with continuous cooperation, our coordination with the client will become increasingly efficient.
