When helping customers choose home elevator doors, it’s important to consider several factors related to the type of home elevator, building requirements, safety, and user convenience.

1. Consider the Elevator Type and Usage Here

Hydraulic Elevators: Typically used for low to mid-rise buildings (up to about 1-5 floors). They often feature swing doors.

Traction Elevators: Suitable for mid to high-rise buildings (more than 5 floors). They commonly use center-opening or side-opening doors

2. Door Types and Configurations:

**Manual Single swing Doors: Suitable for small install size, No door operator, less space occupied, simple and cost-effective.

**Automatic single swing door: The door can be opened automatically, suitable for situations where it is inconvenient to open the door manually when items need to be transported

**Automatic double swing door:When the door open, will takes up little space, looks good, and has LED light strips, suitable for customers with high requirements for elevator appearance

**Sliding Door (Center or Side Opening): Common in traction elevators for larger cabin openings, providing smooth access and better aesthetics.

2.1Normal Center open: Two door panels, opening simultaneously in both left and right directions.Structurally stable, The technology is mature, with a low failure rate and low maintenance costs.

2.2 Two-fold division of the middle line:Four door panels, two on each side, which can be folded and opened to both sides.Door opening width: Achieving a larger opening space within a limited shaft width

2.3.Side door: Two or three door panels, opening in a single direction with overlapping.Save space. Only requires single-sided shaft space. Suitable for cases where there are obstacles on one side of the shaft, facilitating wheelchair users to enter and exit through that single side.

The opening width of the side door should be 150mm larger than that of the center-opening door.

3. Space Constraints and Building Layout:

**Space for Door Swing: Hydraulic home elevators with swing doors require sufficient space for the door to open outward.

**Shaft Width: Traction home elevators need wider openings for double middle opening doors or side opening door.

4. Safety and Accessibility:

– Ensure doors are equipped with safety sensors and interlocks.

– For accessibility, consider wider doors or automatic opening features.

5. Aesthetic and Design Preferences:

Choose from different finishes, panel designs, and glass or Stainless steel options to match building interior design.

6. Maintenance and Durability:

– Hydraulic elevator doors tend to be simpler and easier to maintain.

– Traction elevator doors may require more sophisticated mechanisms but with higher speed and smoother operation.

In summary:

– For low-rise, space-limited buildings, hydraulic elevators with swing doors are often ideal.

– For taller buildings requiring higher capacity and faster operation, traction elevators with center or side-opening doors are preferred.
