In May, we received an inquiry for a scissor car lift with a rotating platform from Nigeria. The customer intended to use this product for displaying vehicles in an automotive exhibition hall, raising the cars from the ground to the stage. They hoped to achieve both the functions of lift and rotation.
Concerns were raised regarding the materials, quality, and noise. We showed the customer some product details to demonstrate our product quality.
The initial plan is shown in the following figure. According to this structure, the equipment is 1200mm close height. The customer’s excavation pit is not deep enough and it is a rectangular pit, which cannot be adapted to the circular tabletop structure. Moreover, the plan of installing a fixed slope exceeds the customer’s budget.
Through discussions on technology, we proposed the following structure
According to the customer’s size plan, the initial dimensions are as follows:
1. Platform size: 4000 * 6000 mm
2. Pit size: 4080 * 6080 mm
3. Lifting height: 4500 mm
4. Pit depth: 700 mm
5. Load capacity: 5000 kg
Within the customer’s dimensions, the middle rotating part can be made with a diameter of 4000 mm.
The client used to display some luxury cars, such as Rolls-Royce, etc. The maximum wheelbase of these cars is 3200mm. Therefore, the size of the platform was subsequently changed to 4000*7900mm final.
