In September, XYZLIFT received an inquiry from a domestic procurement agency, assisting a client from Kenya in equipping their newly built warehouse with professional lifting equipment. Through in-depth communication and technical adaptation, we not only provided a solution that fully met the client’s needs but also optimized the overall configuration with professional recommendations, helping the client achieve a safe, stable, and cost-effective warehouse upgrade.
1. Project Background & Requirements
https://xyzlift.com/scissor-lift/Due to business expansion, a Kenyan client planned to introduce multiple lifting devices for their new warehouse and entrusted a domestic procurement agency to make initial contact with XYZLIFT. The client’s original requirements were as follows:
–Scissor lift: 2pcs, platform size 3x5m, lifting height 2m, load capacity 5t
–Scissor lift: 2pcs, platform size 3.8x5m,lifting height 10m, load capacity 10t

2. Professional Analysis & Solution Optimization
After evaluating the client’s requirements, our technical team noted that for equipment with a load capacity of 10 tons and a lifting height of 10 meters, the fixed scissor structure would require more scissor layers, which could lead to shaking during operation, affecting durability and safety, while also increasing costs.
Based on XYZLIFT’s years of industry experience, we proactively recommended a better alternative: guided rail goods lifts. This model performs more stably under high-load and high-lift conditions. The guided structure effectively reduces shaking, extends service life, and offers greater cost advantages.
The client accepted our recommendation and adjusted the requirements to:
-Goods lift: 2 pcs, platform size: 2995×4610mm, lifting height 5285mm, load capacity 5000kg
-Scissor lift: 1 pcs, platform size 3000×5000mm, lifting height 2000mm, load capacity 5000kg
3.Client Concerns & XYZLIFT’s Solutions
As the procurement party had no prior experience with such equipment, they raised several key questions, to which XYZLIFT provided clear and reliable answers:
Q1: Can the shipment be consolidated? Does the platform need to be disassembled for transportation?
A 1: Due to the large platform size, we recommend full-container shipment to ensure transportation safety and integrity. For easier loading, we will detach the guardrails and divide the platform into several modules. On-site assembly can be quickly completed via bolted connections and welding.
Q2: Is installation service available?
A2: We can dispatch an engineer to Kenya to provide on-site installation guidance. Meanwhile, we shared installation materials and case studies from similar local projects to help the client establish clear installation expectations.
Q3: How to adapt to the pre-cut floor openings on site?
A3: Based on the floor opening dimensions provided by the client, we precisely calculated the adapted platform size for the guided lifts, which the client confirmed. For the fixed scissor lift installed through the floor opening, we recommended adding 4 guide rails to significantly reduce operational shaking and ensure smooth passage through the floor openings.
