Customer Background:
Steve is our client from Hong Kong who is working as a project manager at a university. His company initiated a new project and needed a scissor lift platform. He was responsible for arranging it. After careful analysis, he decided to go with our company. He provided us all the requirements, and we designed the scissor lift according to them. The lift was installed in the university carefully in accordance with the project requirements.
Client Requirements:
Steve had some major requirements
- The size of the lift platform should be 2100*3100mm
- The height of the lift must be 6.1m
- Load capacity needs to be 2000kg
- There should be no guide rail with the lift
Design and Solution:
We noted the requirements and used heavy material to design the rectangular steel tube of size 150*250*6mm. The base size of the lift was set the same as the platform size, which is 2100mm in width. We bolted the scissor lift to the ground by 18 units with the help of a 20mm diameters bolt. At the bearing of the lift, support beams were placed to ensure smooth movement. As per the client’s request, we didn’t add a guide rail to restrain the lift platform from swaying. For providing a smooth cargo in and cargo out of the platform, we added moveable lips to the sides of the platform. At 2100mm sides, we added a single lip on both sides, while on 3100mm sides, we added two lips on both the opposite sides to ensure the workers can easily move the cargo. If the lip is up, the scissor lift will work; otherwise, it would halt.
Test Before delivery:
While installed the lift safely, and ran a factory inspection check on the lift platform in which we did a load test to show that it can handle the mentioned load, position variation test, and dimension check. The scissor lift platform is fitted with the following safety features: show by video.
